Shrewsbury Colour Run

2nd April 2022, 9am-2pm

We are delighted to announce the return of the Shrewsbury Colour Run for 2022! After a two year hiatus, we are back to bring you one of the messiest events in our calendar! No t-shirt will avoid a dousing!

We’re pleased to be hosting this event at a new venue – Sansaw Estate, on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Join us on Saturday 2nd April 2022 for this non-competitive 5K and transform the air around you into a sea of colour!

The Colour Run is open to people of all ages, and all abilities, who want to have fun whilst raising funds to support the work we do, and it’s not all about running – you can walk, jump, skip, hop, anything you like as you go round the 5K. As you make your way around the course, marshals will be placed at set points along the route to shower you with as much coloured powder as possible! Ending the run with a clean t-shirt is not an option!

If you take part in the Colour Run you will be given a runners pack which contains a white t-shirt for you to wear on the day, a pair of sunglasses and your own 100g bag of coloured powder to douse whoever you like! You’ll also be rewarded for your efforts with a medal at the finish line!

Registration

Registration costs £20 per adult and £7.00 for children aged 12 and under. Anyone under the age of 18 must be given permission to take part, anybody under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

To ensure we are following COVID guidelines on event capacity, the Shrewsbury Colour Run will set participants off in waves throughout the day…starting from 9am every hour, with the last start time at 2pm. We’ve asked you to specify which wave time you’d like to begin your course when you sign-up so that we can ensure you’re all kept safe.

Sansaw Estate has limited parking, so please try to share lifts where you can.

You can sign up here!

The registration fee is mainly there to cover the cost of the event (although we’re aiming to make a small profit on this!) so we’d love it if you could raise some more funds to be able to help us continue to fund projects that help local people effected by cancer. It would be great if adults could raise £50 and children £25 but we realise this may not be possible for everyone, so however much you are able to raise is appreciated. You can raise funds from asking people to sponsor you, holding a bake sale or dress down day or any fundraising idea you can think of!

We’ve raised £1000’s from our Colour Run since it started in 2019! An incredible effort from our participants, and their support means we can continue to fund projects that help to give our patients the best possible care, locally.

Any pets or animals are not permitted (including guide dogs due to the health risk to the animal)
