The Half Marathon has a cut-off time of 2 hours 45 minutes (*due to reopening of the town centre roads)
Starting and finishing at The West Mid Showground, it’s a scenic route showcasing Shrewsbury’s highlights including the Welsh & English Bridge, Kingsland, Porthill, Coleham, The Quarry, Frankwell, and the picturesque town centre.

Why the Metric Half Marathon?
Have you completed a 10k but aren’t quite ready for the traditional half marathon distance? Or perhaps you’re looking for a shorter, faster race challenge? This is the perfect event for you! Starting and finishing at The West Mid Showground, it’s a picturesque route that hugs the River Severn, crossing both the English & Welsh Bridges, and passing through The Quarry, Kingsland, and Frankwell.
