Creative Programme with Swan Hill Studios

The Swan Hill Creative Workshop Programme is a free series of creative workshops for people living with or beyond cancer. Developed with the Lingen Davies Cancer Support, the programme supports emotional wellbeing through creativity, connection, and community.

Workshops will mainly take place at Swan Hill Studios in Shrewsbury, with additional sessions across Powys, Telford, and rural Shropshire to reach more people affected by cancer.

Led by experienced artists and facilitators from The Circle creative network, the sessions provide a supportive, non-clinical environment focused on reducing isolation, encouraging self-expression, and improving mental wellbeing. Activities include pottery, painting, calligraphy, jewellery making, and wellbeing writing, with no experience required. The programme is open to anyone currently living with or who has previously experienced cancer.
