Gentle Yoga with Marches Movement CIC
Ludlow
Gentle yoga sessions with Marches Movement CIC, tailored to support the needs of people affected by cancer, regardless of treatment and recovery stage.
These sessions focus on slow, mindful movement, simple strength and balance work, and guided breath awareness. The approach is trauma-sensitive and adaptable, with options offered throughout so that you can respond to your body’s needs on the day.
Movements may be done standing or seated, and rest is always encouraged. There is no expectation to push or strain – this is about building comfort, stability and
confidence gradually.
Physically, gentle yoga can help increase ease in daily movements, improve balance and stability, reduce stiffness and muscular discomfort, and support healthier breathing patterns. Emotionally, the combination of mindful movement and breath work supports the parasympathetic nervous system helping to reduce
stress, anxiety and improving sleep.
The restorative nature of the sessions also supports energy and fatigue management. By encouraging circulation, oxygenation and nervous system regulation, gentle yoga can help improve stamina, concentration and overall daily functioning.
Alongside the physical and emotional benefits, these sessions offer a sense of community and shared understanding. Many people value the opportunity to move in a supportive environment, reconnect with their inner resources, and cultivate self-compassion and hope.
No previous yoga experience is needed and chairs, mats and equipment are provided. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily.
