Summer 2026

The Darby Singers present Legends

Date and time: Saturday 27 June 2026, 7.30pm

Location: St Michael’s Church, Madeley

What to expect: An evening of pop classics with live band accompaniment, featuring songs by Elton John, Queen, Lulu, and many more, plus a raffle and refreshments

Further details: Tickets £10.00 for adults and £5.00 for children under 12, available online through the button below. Proceeds split between the Lingen Davies Sunflower Appeal and choir funds.

Abraham Darby Showband and Telford Concert Band in Concert

Date and time: Saturday 27 June 2026, 7pm

Location: Hawke Auditorium, Haberdashers’ Abraham Darby, Madeley, Telford, TF7 5HX

What to expect: A joint concert with both bands performing separately in the first half and together in the second, plus a raffle with excellent prizes

Open Garden Coffee Morning at Ash Meadow

Date and time: 4 July 2026, 11.30am to 1.00pm

Location: Ash Meadow, Seifton, Craven Arms, SY7 9LF

What to expect: Open gardens to explore at your own pace, with freshly brewed coffee, tea, and homemade cakes served throughout the morning

Further details: Free admission, with donations welcome on the day. All are warmly welcome.

Charity Cricket Match in Memory of David Pugh

Date and time: Sunday 5 July 2026, 1pm start

Location: Condover Cricket Ground, SY5 7AA

What to expect: A friendly cricket match with Condover Seniors taking on the David Pugh Select Eleven, held in memory of David Pugh

Further details: Free admission. Bring the family and enjoy an afternoon of cricket. All donations go to Lingen Davies Cancer Support, the region’s primary cancer charity.

Pints for a Purpose

Date: Saturday, 11th July

Location: The Horse & Jockey, Northwood


What to expect: Great beer, great community, greater purpose. There will be live music, a raffle, kids’ games, and a BBQ.

Charity Farmers Fundraising Auction and Raffle

Date and time: Tuesday 14 July 2026, 10.00am

Location: To confirm (likely the livestock market, but no venue is given on the poster)

What to expect: A charity farmers fundraising auction and raffle held by Nock Deighton Agricultural LLP on behalf of the Lingen Davies Sunflower Appeal, in memory of Di, a founding member of the appeal who ran the market café for many years

Further details: Donations of livestock and raffle prizes are being sought to help raise funds. All proceeds support the Lingen Davies Sunflower Appeal

Summer 2026

Lizzie Charlton Handbags at the Made in Shropshire Artisan Fair

Date and time: Saturday 8 August 2026, 9am to 5pm

Location: The Square, Shrewsbury

What to expect: A sale of remaining stock of handbags and accessories from Lizzie Charlton Handbags, made in Shropshire, held as part of the Made in Shropshire Artisan Fair and in memory of Lizzie Charlton

Further details: All proceeds from the sale go to Lingen Davies Cancer Support, Shrewsbury.
