Harry Williams came to see us this week to present his £2,440 donation to our appeal. He recently had his 21st birthday party, where he asked all his family and friends to support Lingen Davies by getting involved in his auction and raffle, as well as taking donations on the night.
Harry wanted to support the charity in memory of his grandad, Arthur Richards, who sadly passed away in January 2017. Arthur had treatment at the Lingen Davies Centre, before our brand new LINAC machine was installed, and experienced delays caused by the old machine breaking down. Harry and his family wanted to give something back to help make sure other people have access to the best possible treatment here in Shrewsbury. While we’ve already replaced the LINAC, this donation will go into our 40th Anniversary Appeal and support a range of brilliant projects to make a positive difference to lives affected by cancer in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Mid Wales.
A huge thanks to Harry, and his friends and family, for all your generosity!
