Corporate news: Aico team building canoeing day

One of our long running corporate sponsors spent a day on the water in aid of helping those with cancer.

Aico – a manufacturer of home life safety products based in Oswestry – rallied the team for a canoeing day on the River Severn.

And obviously – some people got wet!

Sixty members of staff from all over the country travelled to Shropshire for a day of team building. They canoed 12 miles from Montford Bridge to Frankwell and they were even treated to a lunch of slow cooked beef sandwiches and homemade cake at Berwick Estate.

What a way to build your team and raise money for charity at the same time!

Staff at the Ei company, which is a European Market Leader in Home Life Safety, even enjoyed a very competitive game of rounders too.

Jane Pritchard, Community Liaison at Aico, said: “It was a fantastic day and everyone had a lot of fun.

“We all enjoyed ourselves and are pleased to have been raising money for such a worthwhile cause too.

“Aico understands the important work that Lingen Davies do to enhance and improve the lives of those going through cancer.

“We realise the positive impact financial support brings to help patients and their loved ones across our region, as well as the work that goes into raising awareness and we are very proud to support through donations and sponsorship opportunities.

“The strong relationship that has built over the years has benefitted not only the charity but also our colleagues.”
