We’re Hiring! Events and Fundraising Officer Needed!

Lingen Davies Cancer Fund has been supporting cancer services in Shropshire, Telford and Mid Wales for almost 40 years. As part of our ambitious new appeal strategy, we are looking to broaden our fundraising work and raise our profile in the community, as we aim to raise £1.25 million in time for our 40th birthday in 2019! We are now recruiting for an Events and Fundraising Officer to help us deliver our exciting plans.

Are you a motivated and proactive individual with experience of coordinating and planning events? Are you creative and keen to use your skills for a great local cause?

As Events and Fund-raising Officer, you will use your skills to develop and deliver a diverse and successful events calendar for the charity that raises funds, increases awareness and builds support. You will use your experience to research potential new events to ensure the agreed ambitious income targets are met. You will also work as part of a dedicated and enthusiastic fund-raising team.

Lingen Davies Cancer Fund will soon be celebrating 40 years of making a positive difference to lives affected by cancer in Shropshire, Telford and Mid Wales. To mark the occasion has recently launched an appeal to raise £1.25m to make a difference in 3 areas of the cancer journey; cancer prevention and early detection, cancer treatment services, and living beyond cancer.

We need a positive, enthusiastic person to join our team and help us to achieve these challenging targets, and make a genuine impact to people in our community.

Important Details:

Closing Date: 21st August 2017

Salary: £19,409 – £22,683

Location: Shrewsbury (travel in the charity’s area of work is a requirement of the role)

Hours: 37.5 hours (including evening and weekend work as required)
