Roger Makes his Mark on the Lingen Davies Centre

Have you noticed the handy new bench outside the Lingen Davies Centre at RSH?

Out lovely supporter Roger Walker worked with his family and friends to raise money to buy and install it, after Roger noticed that there was nowhere for people to sit while they wait for transport after their treatment.

Some patients are in the centre for a number of hours receiving treatment, and following his own experience, Roger approached us with his idea. He explained that he, and a number of other patients, didn’t want to sit inside the centre any longer than was needed, and instead could really benefit from some sunshine and fresh air while they wait to be picked up.

Roger, along with his son Chris, wife Judith and their family and friends, raised the money to buy the bench through charity darts and football tournaments, and it was installed earlier this year- now, we finally have the weather to go with it!
