From icy plunges and community walks to the launch of our £5million Sunflower Appeal, and reaching major fundraising milestones, our wonderful supporters have come together to push cancer services forward to help those across the region affected by cancer.
Here’s a look back at some of our highlights from the year:
Five fearless ladies kicked off the new year with an icy plunge – raising over £1,750 to support fellow breast cancer patients.

Hundreds of local participants enjoyed our annual Snowdrop Walk and helped raise over £5,000 for local cancer services. View our events page to see what events you can get involved with in 2026.

More national venues have joined our Bins for Boys movement, expanding support for men affected by cancer.

We welcomed five new trustees to the Lingen Davies board, strengthening our leadership for the future.

We launched a £100,000 Wellbeing Programme to support people living with cancer across the region. This programme includes fantastic sessions such as walking tennis, compassionate counselling and yoga.

We unveiled our £5million Sunflower Appeal to enhance cancer services through the development of a Lingen Davies Cancer Centre at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital by 2029. This development will double chemotherapy capacity across the region. Sophie Jones, who was diagnosed with Low Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer in 2024, has bravely given her face to the appeal.

Twelve courageous fundraisers raised over £11,500 at this year’s Sunny’s Skydive.

Nearly 400,000 British-grown sunflowers were donated by Shropshire Petals and Shropshire Festivals for our Sunflower Appeal.

At the start of September, we attended the opening of the Transforming PRH Hub. The hub is a great place for patients, visitors, and staff to find out more about the transformative work happening at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital, including the development of a Lingen Davies Cancer Centre which we’re funding with our £5million Sunflower Appeal.

The Titty Trail walks in Bishop’s Castle and Aberystwyth raised over £50,000 for local people affected by cancer.

Our Sunflower Appeal was launched in Parliament, hosted by Shaun Davies MP with a keynote speech from Health Secretary Wes Streeting.

We’ve raised an incredible £330,000 so far for the £5million Sunflower Appeal. Thank you to all those who have donated so far, we are well on the way to doubling the capacity of chemotherapy across our region.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year, we couldn’t do it without you. Here’s to 2026 and beyond.🌻💛
