We can’t believe it’s already the end of June!
It’s been a warm few weeks, with lots going on for the Lingen Davies team. Here’s just some of what we’ve been up to…
At the start of the month we launched our biggest appeal to date – The Sunflower Appeal – a £5million appeal to grow cancer care across our region.
To coincide with the launch, members of the team headed to Wellington and Meeting Point House in Telford to chat to residents about our new appeal and how they can help to bring cancer services closer to home.
We also welcomed four new fabulous members to our team – Jonathan, James, Sophie and Izzy! Each of them comes with a wealth of experience and enthusiasm and we can’t wait to see them get stuck into their new roles. Find out more about our newest members and other members of the team.
The team enjoyed getting to know our trustees more at a teambuilding lunch, playing a game of ice breaker staff bingo to find out little-known facts about each other.
Steph and Jonathan headed to Bridgnorth Rugby Club for a morning of networking with Shropshire Chamber. It was a nostalgic day for Jonathan as he has fond memories of playing on the pitch at Sunday League Football!
Naomi, Emma, Steph and Claire enjoyed a wonderfully festive Shropshire Chamber Business Awards. Thank you to everyone who invited us to join them on their table!
Kerry was at the Shropshire Armed Forces Day at Shrewsbury Castle and had a fantastic time speaking with members of the community about our LiveLife and Cancer Champion programmes.
Our £100,000 Wellbeing Programme has been extremely popular, with lots of people in our community living with and beyond cancer taking the opportunity to enjoy a free activity to support their holistic wellbeing. The incredible feedback has been overwhelming and we’re looking forward to the programme continuing throughout the year. Find out more about our Wellbeing Programme.
