It’s the end of July (already?!) and the Lingen Davies team have been celebrating another successful month of fundraising, networking and raising cancer awareness.
Here’s just some of what we’ve been up to!
In the community
Telford & Wrekin councillors unanimously voted to support our £5million Sunflower Appeal, pledging four years of support for our appeal fundraising efforts.
Karen, our Community Fundraiser, was invited to present to the Market Drayton Rotary Club about Lingen Davies and the work we do for those in the community. She had a great time chatting with people in our local community!
The team also spent a day in Shrewsbury, finding new ways to work together with DiSC profiling support from Michelle Jehu at Good2Great, and celebrating achievements from the previous year.
Out and about
Our team attended a variety of fantastic fundraising events, including a charity gig in Shrewsbury, a race night fundraiser at Oswestry Golf Club, Shrewsbury and Ludlow Castle comedy festivals, and Ludlow Music Festival
Steph and Sophie headed to Cosford to chat with the fundraising team at RAF Museum Midlands. They enjoyed sharing fundraising experiences and ideas and look forward to catching up with the RAF Museum team again soon.
Emilie and Steph headed to Builth Wells to attend the Royal Welsh Show 2025. The duo had a great time talking to attendees about the work we do and some of our upcoming events, in particular our Titty Trail event this October in Aberystwyth.
We also hosted our first Padel Connect networking event at Ace Padel Club in Oswestry. The session saw a great turnout with a variety of people representing local businesses and groups. Watch this space for the next date!
Introducing…
This month we also shared the exciting news that we’ve been handed the reins for Shrewsbury Secret Supper – a popular charity dining event – which will take place on Tuesday, 14th October.
We also launched Compassionate Counselling services, delivered by Orbit Counselling, freely available for families, partners, and friends of people living with cancer.
You can find out more about Shrewsbury Secret Supper and Compassionate Counselling on our website.
