Supporting Families Through a Child's Cancer Treatment

The new children’s cancer treatment unit provided en-suite facilities and an extra bed so that a parent could stay with their child overnight.  It also provided a kitchen area, a family room and play areas. While the unit has now been moved to the Princess Royal Hospital, we are proud to have supported children to have treatment in the Rainbow Unit for the ten years that it was in use.

“The support we receive from local people is incredible- they never fail to come up with new and innovative ways to raise money and we couldn’t do any of this without them.” – Mandy Thorn MBE, Chair

Make a One-Off Donation

As well as running fundraising appeals for one-off technology or equipment at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, we are always fundraising for ongoing projects for the wider community. Our LiveLife Cancer Awareness Service is a huge part of our work, and we welcome any contribution you can make to enable us to help prevent cancer.
