We’ve made a lot of changes in the charity recently, and 2016/17 was a really great year!
We finished our LINAC Appeal extended it to include the perfect pitch couch (these are now both up and running at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital), gained four new trustees, launched our ‘Could it be Cancer?’ talks, and wrote our new strategic plan to take us forward into the coming year. 968 people and groups from our amazing community supported our fundraising activities and raised £450,793- this is a great achievement, and we reckon 2017-18 will be even better.
Since then, we’ve launched our 40th Anniversary Appeal- we’re going to be raising £1.25 million to make a positive difference to lives affected by cancer in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales. We’ll be providing funding for a whole range of projects, and we are very close already to raising the funds for our first two purchases to support early diagnosis for prostate and colorectal cancer patients.
