We are Lingen Davies Cancer Fund; we exist to make a positive difference to lives affected by cancer in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin & Mid Wales.
Lingen Davies is run by an enthusiastic and close-knit fundraising team and our mission is to improve cancer treatment for people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid-Wales, as well as raise awareness through initiatives like our LiveLife Cancer Awareness service.
Lingen Davies Cancer Fund was founded in 1979 by Bernard Lingen, then-Mayor of Shrewsbury, and local accountant Frank Davies.
Lingen Davies is run by an enthusiastic and close-knit fundraising team and our mission is to improve cancer treatment for people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid-Wales, as well as raise awareness through initiatives like our LiveLife Cancer Awareness service. We host a range of fundraising events including balls, ladies luncheons, open garden afternoons, cycling challenges, and quizzes – to name just a few.
Events are the lifeblood of what we do – they allow us to pursue our goals and expand our horizons in new and exciting ways. Our successes can be attributed to our wonderful team of dedicated volunteers – some of whom have been with us from the start.
We’re now looking for a physical embodiment of the Lingen Davies brand and we’re hoping your mascot design will do just that! We’ve teamed up with Shrewsbury-based illustrator Charlie Adlard of The Walking Dead comic fame to give one lucky youngster the chance to work with the experts and see their mascot idea become a reality.
There will be one overall winner whose design will become our physical mascot, however entries will be split into three age groups and a winner will be picked from each group.
The overall winner will not only get thc chance to work alongside world-renowned illustrator Charlie Adlard and see their design brought to life, but they will also win a 64GB WiFi iPad in Space Grey!
Winners from each age group will receive a £25 Amazon gift voucher!
There will also be an overall winning school. Prizes will be awarded to each winner with the main prize being an in-person design session with a professional designer from Reech Media, so you can see your design come to life!
To enter simply use this sheet which, once completed, should be returned to the school, brought into us, or popped in the post to:
