Remembering Lingen Davies by leaving a gift in your will – no matter how small the gift – will make a real difference to local cancer patients…
It is only right that you want to remember your loved ones in your will, but you may also wish to consider leaving a gift to charity. Those who remember Lingen Davies Cancer Fund in their will, no matter how small the gift, will make a difference to cancer patients in Shropshire, Telford and Mid Wales.
We advise that you seek advice from a solicitor before writing or amending your will. You will need the full details of the charity to ensure that your wishes are carried out accurately. These are provided below:
Charity Name: Lingen Davies Cancer Fund
Registered Charity Number: 1160922
Royal Shrewsbury Hospital
Mytton Oak Road
Shrewsbury SY3 8XQ
There are 2 different ways in which a gift can be made; a Pecuniary gift and a Residuary gift.
A Pecuniary gift is a set amount of money.
A Residuary gift is a percentage of your estate. This means that, however much your estate is worth, you ensure your loved ones are looked after. It also means you don’t have to keep altering your will as your circumstances change.
You should consult a solicitor for advice about what is best for you.
You can make an amendment to an existing will by adding a codicil. Please seek advice from a solicitor to ensure that the wording is correct. By adding this supplement to your will you can include new instructions and delete old ones without having to revoke the whole will.
If you would like to discuss how to leave a gift to Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, please contact Louise Dawson, Fundraising Manager on 01743 492396.
We take our responsibilities very seriously, ensuring every penny of your gift will be used wisely and in accordance with your wishes wherever possible.
